HENNIKER, NH:  Thomas Joseph Ryan passed away at home in Henniker, NH on Wednesday,  September 28, 2022, due to failing health.

Tom was born in New Jersey on October 7, 1957.  He received a Bachelor's Degree in Forestry from Rutgers University in 1979.  The Colorado and Wyoming wilderness gave Tom his initial adventures in forestry. Then, he settled down with his wife Smitty.  He worked as a lumberjack, forester, logger, and timber property manager and ran a profitable custom saw operation and log yard.  Over 40 years, Tom purchased timber, hardwood sawlogs, veneer, and well over 4,000 acres of New England timberland.  He proudly helped new foresters get a start in forestry as well.

Tom loved his work but knew how to play and have fun. He played soccer, baseball, softball and golf and helped many teams win championships. He loved fishing and boating and riding his dirt bike and motorcycles.

Tom was a good man and hard worker.  He rewarded loyalty, hard work and honesty and was always very generous. Tom will be missed terribly by his wife, two cats, friends and family. 

All are welcome to a Mass at 10 am on October 13, 2022 at Saint Theresa's Church in Henniker to honor Tom Ryan.
