HILLSBORO, NH:  Diane Irene Waters, 76, of Hillsborough, NH passed away peacefully Saturday, March 12, 2022, to join her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Waters, who predeceased her in January 2021.

She was born on August 28, 1945, in Manchester, NH to Irene (Gagnon) Roode and Harold N. Roode.

Diane is survived by her six children, her daughters, Tammy Buker and her husband Rob of Hillsborough, NH, Robin Waters and her fiancé Michael Johnson of Lake City, FL, Tammy Gionet and her partner Patrick Sullivan of Groton, NH, Cathy Tramontozzi and her husband James of Deering, NH, her sons, Donald Fales, Jr. and his wife Rachel of Antrim, NH and Albert Waters and his wife Linda of Lake City, FL.  She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 27-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

She also leaves us to join her daughters, Terri and Irene, and son David, her siblings, Norman Wood and his wife Lorraine and her sisters, Natalie and Marilyn Roode. 

Diane lived in Hillsborough, NH for many decades before moving with her husband to Concord in 2018. After  Bob’s passing in 2021, she moved back to Hillsborough to reside with her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy, and Rob Buker. 

She was employed by GTE Sylvania and Woods Woolen Textile Mill before her position as Store Manager at Cumberland Farms in Hillsborough, NH, where she retired after 23 years. In 2000 Diane received the 1^st place award for all New England Convenience Store Associations, Store Operator of the year. She was awarded this for her excellence in every aspect of her job as it related to the store’s appearance, profitability, employee retention, and customer satisfaction.

Diane enjoyed traveling, reading, painting, knitting, crocheting, camping, and spending precious time with family and friends.

She will always be remembered in our hearts as a loving, caring, courageous and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She leaves us with wonderful memories that will forever be imprinted on our hearts. We all love and miss her beyond words and always will until, we meet her again, at heavens gate. 

There will be no calling hours. 

A graveside service will be held in the Spring in Harvey Memorial Cemetery, Hillsborough, NH.

The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
