DEERING, NH:  Onni Matthew Mackey, Jr., 70, of Deering, NH died July 27, 2022 at Concord Hospital in Concord, NH.

Onni was born in Keene, NH on May 12, 1952 to the late Onni M. Mackey, Sr. and Rena May (Ellis) Mackey.  He was also predeceased by his two brothers, Daniel and Walter.

Onni was a heavy equipment mechanic for many years.  Before his retirement, he worked fro HR Clough in Hopkinton, NH.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Deering Fish & Game Club for many years and had a love for fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by two sons, Matthew J. and his wife Lee-Anne Mackey of Hillsboro, NH and David W. Mackey and his fiancé Michelle Wilson of Henniker, NH, a brother Andrew Mackey of Greenville, NH, a sister Virginia Howard of Sullivan, NH and two grandchildren, Keegan and Olivia May Mackey. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home, 32 School St , Hillsboro, NH.
