GREENFIELD, NH:  George “Bub” Cole, Jr., age 76, peacefully passed away on January 23, 2022, surrounded by his family. 

Bub was born on December 22, 1945, to the late George and Louise (Sweeney) Cole, Sr. in Concord, NH. He attended and graduated high school in Antrim, NH. During high school and beyond he had a love for music. He played for The Standouts and was known to have a guitar in his hand throughout his life.  He being Road Agent for several of those years. 

As a child, he traveled to Indiana every year and fell in love with it there. He continued the tradition with his own family throughout his adult years. He eventually moved there with his family to try his hand at farming. When he returned to NH he owned his own construction business, and worked for various employers, his most recent being Michie Corporation.

Once retired, he was able to spend a couple of winters in FL with his wife which he always wanted to do. They were also able to travel across the country together in their RV and make some very special memories together. 

Bub is survived by his loving wife, of 51 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Hammond Cole, a brother Gary Cole, and his wife Michelle of Swanzey, NH, his three children, Brian Cole of Antrim, NH, Michelle (Cole) Benotti and her husband Willian of Peterborough, NH, Michael Cole, and his wife Nicole of Land O’Lakes, FL.  He adored his four grandsons, Nathaniel Reed of Peterborough, NH, Jacob Cole of Antrim, NH and Caleb and Riley Cole of Land O’Lakes, FL.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

He loved his family more than anything, and always looked forward to the next gathering or family BBQ. Bub created many great, loving memories by being actively involved in their lives and loved participating in all activities. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. 

A Graveside Service will be held at North Branch Cemetery in Antrim, NH later this Spring.
