HILLSBORO, NH: James G. Dumais, Sr. sadly passed away on February 2, 2022 after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born at home in Deering, NH on February 5, 1944.
Jim worked his entire life in the family plumbing and heating business, which is still thriving today after four generations. As a young man, Jim married his high school sweetheart, Bev. Together they raised three wonderful children. Jim lived his entire life in the town of Deering, NH. He enjoyed the great outdoors. Hunting, fishing and camping with his family were some of his favorite pastimes. Jim had a passion and ability to repair just about anything. Throughout his life he loved working with tractors and equipment. He was an avid collector of many things and would rarely pass up a good yard sale. Jim was also an animal lover, His best friend, Moxie, could always be found at his side. He was very much a practical joker and could always get a smile out of you with one of his one liners.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Louise Dumais, wife, Beverly (Bissonnette) Dumais, sister, Barbara Robbins and her husband, Ralph, brothers-in-law, Sonny Parker, Andy Lawson, Fred Clough, Sr., Jackie Warren and his, wife Maria and a sister-in-law, Melody Dumais, wife of Donald Dumais,
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Linnell, sons, James Dumais, Jr. and his wife, Wendy, Douglas Dumais, and his wife, Kimberly, daughter, Audrey Lawson and her husband, Mark, stepdaughters, Lorie Prymas, Heidi Dion and her husband, Phillip, grandsons, Gregory Dumais, Derek Dumais and his wife ,Leighanna, Trevor Dumais and his fiancé, Mariah, granddaughters, Nicole Dumais, Courtney Davy and her husband,Jeromy, great- grandchildren, whom he adored, Sawyer and Paisley Davy, Madison Dumais and a soon to be great-grandson arriving in June. Jim is also survived by his brother, Donald Dumais, sisters, Teresa Parker, Darlene McHale and her husband, Frank, and youngest sister, Linda Lawson, his brother-in law, but like a brother, Theodore (Buzzy) Bissonnette, Jr and his wife, Eileen and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time. A private burial will take place in the Spring at Butler Cemetery in Deering, NH.
