HENNIKER, NH: Yolande R. Nicknair (Lefebvre) passed away peacefully on December 5, 2022.
Yolande was born the oldest of three children on October 21, 1933, in St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada to Simone St. Jean (Michaud) and Rene Lefebvre. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Jean-Louis Nicknair, and her younger brothers Michael and Alain Lefebvre.
She graduated from St. Anselm College in 1960. She retired from Concord Hospital, Staff Development, in 1989. She was very active in the Henniker community including St. Theresa’s Parish, the Henniker Historical Society, New England College, and the Rotary Club.
She was a world traveler, author, artist, lover of old movies, read Agathe Christie mysteries, and enjoyed playing cards. She was well known for her pork pies at Christmas time, which paired well with a glass of Merlot.
She is survived by her sons, Luc Nicknair, Guy Nicknair and his husband, Andrew Domenico, daughter, Julie Nicknair-Keon and her husband, Dennis Keon, grandchildren Ashley Keon, Thomas Keon and partner, Logan Sandborn, Rachel Keon and partner, Matt Ingram, and many wonderful friends and family.
Please join us in Celebrating her Life at St. Theresa’s Church in Henniker, NH. Viewing will be at 10am and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am on Saturday, December 10, 2022.
