DEERING, NH:  Charles Frederick Jewell, Jr. passed away peacefully in his own bed on the morning of September 16, 2021. He was 69.

He was born on November 26, 1951 in Boston, MA. He grew up in Stoneham, MA and enjoyed his summers during his youth at the family home in Deering, NH. He eventually took over part of the family farm where he and his ex-wife Gale raised their four children. He always loved playing guitar and having backyard parties with family and friends. He was a man of many talents. He loved talking with people, sharing stories, offering advice, and lending an ear. Rest in peace Dad, we are happy you finally found that missing piece to your spaceship.

He is survived by his son, Charles H. Jewell, Jr. of Hillsboro, NH, three daughters, Bethany D. Jewell of Deering, NH, Jessica L. Jewell of Hillsboro, NH and Cheryl Houghton of Deering, NH, four sisters, Valerie Jewell of Manchester, NH, Dorothy Demore of Weare, NH, Maureen Eagleston of Reading, MA and Eileen Surette of Revere, MA, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at the Henniker New Cemetery, 83 Old Concord Rd, Henniker, NH on September 25, 2021 at 2 pm. He will be buried next to his mother Dorothy. 

The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family.

The reception will be held afterwards at the deceased’s residence, 433 North Rd, Deering, NH. The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives.
