HILLSBORO, NH:  Dawn Wyman Brackley Greenwood Marcaurelle, age 79, passed away March  1, 2021 at her daughter Sherry’s residence in Bradford, NH after a several month long battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born 25 July 1941, in Stafford Springs, CT, the daughter of the late Floyd and Gladys Rowe Brackley.  She grew up in Meriden, Connecticut.  Dawn lived in in Connecticut for several years after she married before moving to NH with her first husband, Robert Nils Greenwood, her three children and German Shepard, Bridgett.

Dawn was proceeded in death by her beloved soul mate and husband, Raymond Marcaurelle. She was an active member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Concord Ward.  After high school, she went to hairdressing school, where she received her license. She worked at GTE Sylvania for over 20 years.

At almost 80 years of age she went back to work for Home Instead as a caregiver. This was her true and last calling. She loved this job with all her heart.

Dawn loved animals and they loved her. She donated regularly to the SPCA for many years. She was a gifted artist who loved painting, sketching, portraits and crafts of ALL kinds, tole painting and was a long standing member of the League of craftsman and The Society of Decorative Painters.

She was a meticulous seamstress and could sew and create anything. And on top all of those talent’s she was an excel-lent marksman, taught by her late and first husband Robert Nils Greenwood, who was a State Trooper in New London, CT.  In addition, she remodeled antique homes to perfection.

Dawn Brackley Greenwood Marcaurelle was so special. She was talented besyond imagination, hard working, a perfectionist, strong in appearance yet fragile and insecure on the inside at times, often misunderstood, a ruby in the making.  Dawn was a bit introverted, or socially challenged if you will, which in turn led to some challenging and missed relationships with people. Therefore, it explains her unconditional love and special bond with all and for all animals. It was such a big part of who she was. Dawn was unique and mysterious. She taught her children that our trials and tribulations were a necessary part of life, they built character and were a part of Gods plan for us. Without them we would learn nothing. Above all, she was loved, loved unconditionally by her children, her family and her friends. She never realized just how much, she now knows. There will never be another Dawn. She was a one of a kind, a once in lifetime.  Mother you WERE loved, you were appreciated and you will be missed. Your presence here on earth is felt. You made your mark. You will live through those you loved and we will see you again, until then we know you will scontinue your journey.

Without a doubt your’re working on something fabulous in the spirit world. Love you Mom, just the way your were, always did, always will.
