HENNIKER, NH:  Robert S. Clarke, 68, of Longs, SC and Henniker, NH passed away on July 4, 2021 in Charleston, SC.    

Born on February 15, 1953 in Adams, MA, he was the son of late William and Felicia (Meczywor) Clarke of Adams.   He married Carol (Scott) in June 1980 and together they raised three children.

Bob was a teacher and coach throughout his career at Merrimack Valley High School, Newport High School, John Stark Regional High School and Bow High School.  He also was a NH sports official, umpiring high school softball and baseball as well as Youth Sports, member of Henniker Lions Club and Mary’s Run committee.   In his retirement years, Carol and Bob sold their home of 35 years in Henniker and took up residence in the Myrtle Beach, SC area so he could enjoy his passion of golf and she the beach.  He played 3 to 4 days a week and enjoyed every minute. 

Besides his wife, Carol, he is survived by his son, William (Billy) Clarke and his wife Allison of Concord, NH, his daughters, Heather Griffin and her husband Adam of Mendon, MA and Erin Clarke of Concord, NH and his buddy and grandson, Colin and the new arrival due very soon.   He leaves his brother, Michael Clarke and his wife Rita and niece, Katie and her husband, Chris Samson of Adams, MA.  He is also beloved by many family members and friends who will miss his endless stories and laughs. 

Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 5 to 8 pm at the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home in Henniker, NH. 

A Funeral  Mass will be held Saturday, July 10 2021 at 10 am in St. Theresa’S Church in Henniker, NH, Burial will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord, NH.
