HILLSBORO, NH: Joyce Ruth (Bigwood) Bouchard passed away at the Concord Regional VNA Hospice House on January 3rd, 2019, with her husband and sons at her side.
She was born in June of 1933 in Hillsboro, NH to Ralph and Doris Bigwood, attended local schools and graduated from Hillsboro-Deering High School in 1951. A life long resident of Hillsboro, she was involved in childcare for her working life. She was affectionately known as Grammy Joyce to dozens of young girls in her care. Jigsaw puzzles and word puzzles were lifetime pleasures. Yard sales and vacations at Old Orchard Beach were her passions in the day. Her greatest delights were being with her family and watching her grandchildren grow up.
A loving wife and wonderful mother, she was pre-deceased by her parents, one son, Jim Bouchard, a grandson, Daniel Bouchard, two infant granddaughters, Jocelyn and Angela Bouchard, and a beloved brother, Jim Pratt.
Surviving is her husband of 67 years, Bob Bouchard, two sons and their wives, Bill and Tish Bouchard of Syracuse, NY and Rick and Helen Bouchard of Keene, NH, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, January 7th, 2019, at the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service Hillsboro, NH.
Private burial will be in spring in Harvey Memorial Cemetery.
