HILLSBORO, NH: Keith A. Bean, 87, from Hillsboro, NH passed away peacefully on August 16, 2019 at Presidential Oaks in Concord, NH.
Keith was born on August 11, 1932 in South Paris, Maine, to the late Ellis and Bessie (Corbett) Bean, Sr. He was also predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Lowe) Bean in 2008.
Keith graduated from South Paris High School in South Paris, Maine. After high school Keith joined the U.S. Army. Upon his honorable discharge, he attended and graduated from Husson College in Maine, and then from Auburn School of Commerce, earning his teaching certificate. Keith was a business teacher at Hillsboro-Deering High School for 15 years. While there, he coached Girls Varsity Basketball and Boys Varsity Baseball and was the Athletic Director for a time. He spent summers working at Pillsbury State Park. After retiring from teaching, Keith went on to manage the Mobil Gas Station in Hillsboro, NH.
Keith is survived by his three children; two daughters, Debra and Paul Whitney, Diane Bean, a son Brian Bean, all of Hillsboro, NH, five grandchildren, Jeoff Whitney, Katie and James Gregory, Joshua and Anna Barrett, Matthew Barrett, and Nick and Sasha Whitney; and great-grandchildren, Keith Whitney, Karmen Gregory and Ava Gregory. Keith is also survived by a brother, Ellis Bean, Jr. of South Paris, Maine, a brother-in-law, Howard Lowe of California, and brother-in-law, John Caldwell of New Hampshire, and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday August 28, 2019 from 5 to 7 pm in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 32 School St, Hillsboro, NH.
Burial will be in South Paris Maine.
