HILLSBORO, NH: Rose M. Argie, 89, passed away peacefully at home on January 5, 2018 with her daughter by her side.
Rose was born on February 29, 1928 in Pasadena CA to Virgil and Annie (Hockaday) Fitzgerald. She is predeceased by her husband, William, whom she married in 1949, by her parents and her only sibling and best friend, Doris Baker of NJ. She is also predeceased by her precious great-grandson, Dillon.
She is survived by her oldest son and his wife, the Reverends William and Donna Argie of Butler, OH, her only daughter, Sandra and husband Gordon Vanderpool, of Hillsboro, NH, where Rose lived with them since October of 2014, and her son, R. James and wife, Tammy Argie of Edgartown, MA. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and nine great-grand-children. Rose was a foster parent for many years and touched the lives of over 50 children, many of who were newborns and special needs children.
She lived many years in Billerica, MA before moving to Cape Cod where she resided in both Sandwich and then Dennisport. She was a very talented musician and soprano. She played the piano at her church, The Salvation Army, in Hyannis, MA.

A memorial to celebrate Rose’s life is being held at Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 32 School St, in Hillsboro, NH on Saturday Jan. 20th at 11:00 AM.
