HILLSBORO, NH:  Joan Newcomb, 54, of Hillsboro, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long struggle with heart and lung issues on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Concord Hospital. 

Joan was born on January 11, 1963 in Weymouth, MA. 

Much of her life was spent as a paraprofessional and teacher who brought laughter and smiles to her students' faces. She was a kind soul and fiercely dedicated to her family and friends. 

Joan is survived by her husband, Douglas Newcomb, of Hillsboro and her two children, Marc Newcomb and Rebecca Newcomb, as well as her mother, Elizabeth Jackson, of Braintree, MA, and her four siblings: Ann Frazier, Terry Hathaway, Michael Boussy, and Carol Pistorino. 

A Memorial Service will be at Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service 32 School St in Hillsboro, NH on Friday, October 20^th, 2017 at 4 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Joan’s name to the American Lung Association.
