CONTOOCOOK, NH:  Edward William Rollins, 85, died unexpectedly on October 2, 2017 at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.  He was born in Concord, NH on September 13, 1932 the son of William and Mildred (Chase) Rollins.

Eddie graduated from Hopkinton High School in 1952.  He completed the Applied Agriculture Program at the University of New Hampshire’s Thompson School.  For 34 years he was an incredibly hard working, self-employed egg farmer in Contoocook.

In his younger years, he liked to make maple syrup, hunt and fish.  More recently he was content sit and take in the view of Kearsarge Mountain and the Mink Hills.  He also enjoyed family gatherings, especially the antics of his two great grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Cyndee Locke of Andover, NH and Nancy Swanson and her husband Chris of Orrington, ME.  He is also survived by two grandchildren Ian and Rebecca Locke and two great grandchildren Riley French and Sawyer Locke.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Countryside Community Church in Contoocook.

Burial will follow in Contoocook Village cemetery.
