HOPKINTON, NH:  Dan Pluff, 87, passed away November 19^th, at his home in Hopkinton, with his family at his side, after a brief illness. 

Dan was born February 1, 1930 to William and Alice (Simard) Pluff, in Concord, NH.  He served in the US Army, was a Hopkinton Police Officer, was a heavy equipment operator for Hopkinton Construction and Foster Materials, and spent most of his years as a Plant Superintendent at Brox Industries in Hudson, until retiring.  He had a passion for heavy construction equipment, and enjoyed chatting about the various equipment he operated over the years. 

Dan was a kind and loving man.  He enjoyed vacations in New Hampshire’s Great North Woods and Florida, and never turned down an opportunity to spend time with his children and family.  Many memorable times were activities with the “Kimball Clan.”

Dan was predeceased by his parents, brothers, William Pluff (Florida) and Richard Pluff (Massachusetts) and sisters, Lorraine Wood (Florida and Sylvia Byer (NH). 

Dan is survived by his daughter, Kathy Anderson and husband Bob of Henniker, his son, James Pluff and wife Sharon of Hopkinton and his son, Tracy Pluff of Henniker.

There will be no calling hours.  A celebration of Dan’s life with friends and family will be at a later date.
